January 1999 - Tim Meredith received from the commissioners court a request for $2500 for equipment and a used skid unit.

February 1999 - Kyle Harris is new Lt. at station 3
|
May 1999 - New pagers have been provided by the county. Neal Weaver brought the idea for a letter drive for funds and some sample letters.

June 1999 - Neal Weaver and Heath Morris will travel to Wellsburgh, Virginia to check on a used fire engine for our purchase. Later a decision was made to borrow $20,000 from First State Bank in Ben Wheeler to purchase this truck. Kyle Harris appointed as committee member.

July 1999 - Engine 1 is in use at main station. From 1984 to 1999 the department had many undertakings and accomplishments great many fund-raisers and a lot of repairs to old, used fire trucks, we’re all getting ready for Y2K.
