January 1997 - Janie Prigden was given donation in memory of her husband, Cisco.

February 1997 - James Goggans installed a p.a. system in the main station. George Wilson voted into Station 3 Lieutenant to replace Cisco Pridgen.

May 1997 - Lloyd Mangum donated fuel tank to Station 3.
|
June 1997 - It was noted our department has registered with the Van Zandt Appraisal District as Fire District # 3
|
September 1997 - Discussion about replacing voice pagers with alphanumeric system. Horace Womble resigned as fire chief and board member due to health concerns.
|
October 1997 - Ozarka Water donated a new truck.
|
November 1997 - Nelda Womble resigned as dispatcher and new pagers are up and running.
